Torokko Saga Station

The brick station building adjacent to Saga-Arashiyama Station on the JR Sagano Line is the Torokko Saga Station. Inside the building, there is a ticket office for the Hozu River cruise as well as a ticket office for the romantic train.
The "19th Century Hall" museum features an exhibit of steam locomotives, pianos and a large organ that played a role in the development of music and art. It is also home to one of the largest railroad dioramas in Japan, the "Diorama Kyoto Japan".

Diorama Kyoto JAPAN

"Diorama Kyoto JAPAN" is one of the largest railroad dioramas in western Japan.
The diorama is designed to look like the streets of Kyoto, and features a variety of HO-gauge model trains, including Shinkansen and limited express trains, and a faithful replica of a train driver's seat called the "master controller" that allows visitors to operate HO-gauge model trains.

19th Century Hall

The "19th Century Hall" exhibits both the steam locomotives that have supported the history in their original form, as well as a grand piano and a large organ that played a role in the development of music and art It also features a café, perfect for a quick break before or after the train ride.

Saga-no-an

"Saga-no-an" is a store located at Torokko Saga Station, the first station of the Torokko train. The entire store is decorated with bamboo, based on the concept of the bamboo grove - a famous sightseeing spot in Saga Arashiyama. The store offers a wide variety of interesting goods, from original Sagano Romantic Train themed products to famous confections from Kyoto.

Located in front of Diorama Kyoto JAPAN, "Ran Ran" offers a wide range of railroad-themed goods, from stationery and daily necessities to railroad parts that were used on the Sagano Romantic Train.

The Kyoto Sagano Kyomatsuri Saga Station Store is located just in front of the Ran Ran store and offers you an excellent opportunity to enjoy delicious ramen or other dishes along with an amazing view of the Torokko and JR trains.
